What This Means

Out of every 100 visitors, about 3.0 convert, at a $60.00 average order. 66.7% of started checkouts never finish, currently the funnel's biggest single leak. Once someone buys, 20.0% come back for a second order, the number that determines how much of this traffic turns into repeat, not one-time, revenue.

Why It Matters

These four numbers are usually read in isolation, but they trade off against each other in ways that only show up when they're seen together. A store can raise conversion rate with aggressive discounting while quietly tanking repeat purchase rate, or fix cart abandonment with free shipping while AOV drops enough to erase the gain. Seeing all four from the same numbers makes those trade-offs visible instead of hidden across separate reports.

Example

A store gets 10,000 visitors, sees 900 carts created, completes 300 orders totaling $18,000 in revenue, and has 1,200 total customers with 240 who've ordered twice or more. Conversion rate is 3%, AOV is $60, cart abandonment is 67%, and repeat purchase rate is 20%, a combination that flags cart abandonment as the funnel's clearest opportunity, since two-thirds of shoppers who start checkout never finish.
